How a bar gets rated:
- The wrapper must have the word Protein on it
- I eat it and review it.
You will find nearly all the protein bar wrappers I've ever eaten on this site! My plan is to eat as many different brands available and provide a short unbiased opinion on each and every one of them. In the future I hope to provide the option for you to rate and comment on your favourite bars too!
My weird obsession started when I worked for the UK's biggest online Supplement company in 2005 where I used to eat a lot of protein bars! Unfortunately I never saved the wrappers..
..I only began keeping wrappers because I wanted to turn them into a cool 'retro' table-top collage for the counter of my future gym.
I don't believe protein bars are the answer to brilliant health, I know a lot of them are a bit naughty and not much better than chocolate bars, and I know this not just through observation but also study, as I'm working through a Diploma in Sports Nutrition.
I just like the use of colours and imagery coupled with great sentences like "Eat Good. Look Great!", allowing the consumer to believe that he too could become a giant amongst men.......with just one bite.
